As I near the end of this pregnancy, I am growing tired of feeling just “bleh” all day, every day.  Everything is puffy, nothing fits anymore, and sleep is immensely difficult to come by.  Care to hear me complain a little more?  Perhaps not, but there is a bright side to all this bemoaning.  I’ve added a few new beauty products to my routine that are making me feel better bit by bit.  They’re the sunshine at the end of a long day, or my sole motivation to get up and actually put on my face in the morning.  Pregnant or not, I think you’ll love these options whether it’s baby or the winter blues weighing you down.

must have beauty products

1. Dr Teals Lavender Epsom Salt

As the super fun late pregnancy swelling sets in, my midwife recommended soaking in an epsom salt bath, specifically Dr. Teal’s lavender blend, to give myself a much-needed break at the end of the day.  It smells heavenly, it’s simple to use, and the added benefit of softening my skin doesn’t hurt.

2. SK-II Brightening Derm Moisturizer

When it comes to moisturizer, I like thick, heavy creams that soak into my skin and leave it absolutely filled to the brim with goodness.  SK-II and Neiman Marcus have given me samples of their products to use over the last few months (more on that later), but my absolute favorite product thus far is this moisturizer.  It’s pricey, but so worth it.  And it’s lasted me quite awhile, keeping my skin hydrated through crazy pregnancy hormones.

3. Smashbox Always Sharp 3D Liner

I used to use gel eye liner, but recently converted to this Smashbox pencil option after trying it at The Makeup Show in Dallas.  The best part: the cap of each liner includes a sharpener so when you put it on after each use, the liner is perfect shaved and prepped for your next application.  Because if there’s one thing I don’t have time for these days, it’s sharpening my eyeliner.  The colors are fun, flattering, and easy to use as well.

4. Anastaisa Brow Wiz

In the spirit of Cara Delevingne and Arizona Muse, I’ve started filling in my brows just a bit when I can fit it into my routine.  But while I tried templates and various tutorials, the Anastasia Brow Wiz has turned out to be the absolute easiest to use.  The itty bitty tip means you can’t make a mistake, and even if you do, the brush at the opposite end helps you quickly whisk it away.  It’s the least intimidating way to fill in your brows, and I’m addicted.

5. Ted Baker Small Bow Wash Cosmetic Case

While I picked a separate case from Target, I love this feminine and fun Ted Baker option.  I had been feeling frustrated recently that I can’t find my lipsticks when I need them, and I wasn’t even sure how many I had to be honest.  Now that I’ve purchased a new makeup case specifically for keeping them all together, I find I use more colors, and I don’t feel the urge to pick up a new shade each time I’m at the store.  Yay for variety and saving a little moolah!
