In 2020 (and the first few weeks of 2021 honestly), we saw our need for gowns and stilettos drop significantly. But adorning ourselves with beautiful baubles has still felt like a bit of relief from the monotony of quarantine life. We still want to feel gorgeous on a Zoom call, or have that special delivery in the mail that makes us feel special. I’ve rounded up my favorite jewelry trends to try right now, from ear cuffs to token necklaces and beyond.

ear cuffs

1. Edgy Ear Cuffs

If you’re like me and piercings are not necessarily your thing, ear cuffs are an easy way to switch out your look without the commitment of a needle and pain. I’ve been wearing this Mini Circle Ear Cuff from AU-Rate, a New York-based fine jewelry company, for about a month now and I love how it adds a little edge to my look. It also stays put FLAWLESSLY, and I have accidentally fallen asleep with it on multiple times.

2. Bold Token Necklaces

Layered gold necklaces are still all the rage, but one Texas-based designer is taking this trend to all new levels of glam. Tracee Nichols just launched the Majestic Lion token necklace, and I would kill to add it to my jewelry collection. The solid 14K gold and diamonds gives it an elevated look that will take you from day to night flawlessly.

3. Themed Statement Earrings

Y’all know I’ve loved statement earrings for about as long as I’ve been alive, but the styles just keep getting more and more fabulous. I love to see themed statement earrings that could also transition to daily wear after a holiday has passed, like San-Antonio based and Colombian-crafted Shop Treasure Jewels is debuting with their Valentine’s Day Collection. I especially love the White Heart Dina earrings that would truly pop on any Zoom call.

4. Customized Apple Watch Bands

As we’re all looking to get fit in the New Year, fresh workout gear or even a new look for your Apple Watch might be just the boost of motivation you need to make it happen. For daytime and work meetings I’m obsessed with the gold (yet only $17.59!) option above, or if you want a little more of a casual look this white marble option would look killer on your wrist. Mix it up and keep things interesting for your fitness routine or just daily wardrobe in general.

For a bonus accessory, the blue light glasses I’m wearing above are only $14.98 for a 2-pack and come in a massive variety of color and pattern combinations. I love the tortoise and clear for one work and one “sporty” option. And they truly help with eye fatigue at the end of a long work day with hours of screentime!

Which jewelry trend are you most looking forward to trying? Let me know in the comments!

A
