Most people believe that they should have their life figured out by age 30, but actually, doing the same things day in, day out may not be the best thing for you. Being in a growth mindset and enjoying life is a must – for this, you may need to change up your life. Below, you’ll find some suggestions that could help you if you’re feeling stuck, lost, or just bored.

change up your life

Do A New Course or Workshop

Take a look for a new course or workshop and see what you can learn. You could take a meditation workshop, or do something to advance your career. Do something purely for the love of doing it, even! You can never learn too much, and there’s a real joy in learning new things.

Work On A Skill Or Hobby

If there’s a skill or a hobby you’ve neglected for a while, or one you always think about but never do, start working on it. With resources on YouTube, you may not even need to spend any money. Learn to sing, play an instrument, or make wooden figurines. Give in to your heart’s deepest desires.

Have Fun With Your Look

Dye your hair a color you’ve always wanted to try – it’s not unusual to see people with pink hair these days, you know! You could even start looking for eyebrow jewelry if you’re feeling particularly quirky and want to add a Rooney Mara vibe to your look. Try out different clothing styles and have fun with your outfits, too. Make sure you’re presenting yourself in a way that pleases you.

Get Into Self Development Literature

Self development is something we can all use from time to time. Books, audiobooks, articles , and YouTube can be a fantastic resource too. You could learn so much about yourself and improve your relationships, career, and life overall. Just be warned: once you start, you might not be able to stop!

Ask Yourself If Your Job is Making You Happy

Most people spend their lives stuck in a job they hate because they need the money and have bills to pay. This is understandable. You can’t always just get up and leave your job, especially when you have responsibilities. However, you can save up an emergency fund to use for the times you feel like you need to make a change. Getting out of your job and giving yourself some room to think and explore might just be the best thing you ever do for yourself. Some people don’t need to be in love with their jobs to feel content. Some people prioritize money, while others need to feel like they are making a difference. It all depends on the kind of person you are.

Get To Know Yourself

Get to know yourself as much as possible and you’ll begin to accept yourself and love yourself more than ever. You’ll probably also get really comfortable when spending time alone! You can do this a number of ways, such as journaling and meditation. Aim to simply become more aware in everyday life and work to understand why you do the things you do and react to certain things in the way you do. You are unique, and your experiences and beliefs have shaped you into the person you are today. If you aren’t absolutely in love with yourself, get to it!

Refuse To Get Comfortable

Following your impulses and living in the moment is tough, but that’s how you make sure you are fully living your life. Don’t get too comfortable. It’s fine to sit back and appreciate/enjoy where you are for a while, especially after a period of hard work. You don’t always need to be rushing on to the next experience or goal. However, you should try to challenge yourself, even if it’s in little ways. You will grow so much and show yourself what you are truly capable of!

Get Detailed On Your Goals

If you’re not currently detailed on your goals, it’s time to get started. Make vision boards to accompany them and visualize as much as you can. It might seem silly, but you will program your brain to achieve them.

Let Go Of Regrets

Holding on to regrets and ‘should haves’ is not healthy. You wouldn’t be where you are now if one tiny thing had changed. Let it all go and focus on what you can do now. If you always do what feels right to you, you won’t need to have regrets.
