As for the Golden Globes, it was a bit of a fashion bust for me. Sure, everyone looked great, but there were only a few really exciting looks. Everyone just played it safe. And I’ve never seen so much nude-y pinks in my life. Would someone please wear a color next year??
My top looks are (in no particular order):
1. Nicole Kidman in Versace
I love the mix of silver in gold in this look. It’s a major risk to put the two together, but her body looks slammin, her hair is styled perfectly, and the accessories really bring the look together.
2. Michelle Williams in Jason Wu
Many people really thought her look was underwhelming, but this dress really photographs so beautifully. It was so different from every other frothy, nude gown we saw, I give her an A+ for taking a bit of a risk. I’d wear that dress in a heartbeat.
3. Emma Stone in Lanvin
It’s Lanvin. Need I say more? I do? Okay well I love these colors both together in the same look and on her skin. It’s really striking. And she has a massive eagle on her belt. So rad. It’s a really young and cool look.
4. Nicole Richie in Julien McDonald
I’ve always loved that Nicole always finds a way to solidify her personal style no matter what the occasion. Her retro glam look is so sexy without being vulgar and is styled to perfection. Also, her new boobs look good, too.
5. Reese Witherspoon in Zac Posen
This dress is tailored soooo perfectly to her body, it makes her curves look siiiiiiiick. I love the bombshell hair, it really tops off the look. this look is so sexy I can’t stand it. Simplicity and sexiness.
6. Viola Davis in Pucci
I thought Viola looked so wonderful. I love this color on her skin, the flash of leg, while maintaining a level of modesty up top. Her hair and makeup are flawless as well. Love her!
