I spend a lot of time thinking about what the girls will remember from their childhood as they get older. As I’m experiencing it, right now, in the moment, I wonder which will be the stories that we’ll tell around the dining table for years to come? What will be the moments they have frozen in their minds forever, the foods they remember me preparing and the smells they remember wafting from the kitchen? I try to capture everything in my heart, because I know some day they’ll be telling me a story of some brief glimpse of their childhood and I might struggle to remember what was so transfixing for them.
Now that we’ve had a few seasons of enjoying James Avery jewelry with our family, I know I’m beginning to see a beautiful tradition and memory evolve. This year Lito (grandpa in our family) gifted the girls with new charms for their bracelets, and I was lucky enough that the team at James Avery offered to send me a little surprise for Christmas as well! I can’t tell you the number of times we’ve gone to events or just out and about in San Antonio and someone has mentioned the girls’ bracelets. I also treasure my star and moon earrings, which I literally never take off, and now this heart ring is an absolute staple in my jewelry collection! I love that it’s 14K gold, dainty enough to pair with other statement rings, and just a tiny heart to remind me of those I love.
It’s also one of their new designs for the holidays, which you can find on their website now, or shop in person so one of their helpful store associates can help you pick the perfect gift for that special someone. That’s one of my other favorite things about James Avery – everyone who works there is just the sweetest! They make the girls feel so special every time we go in to add another charm to their collection. Who knows, maybe THAT will be one of their treasured memories from their childhood. I can’t wait to find out!
