I spend a lot of time thinking about what the girls will remember from their childhood as they get older. As I’m experiencing it, right now, in the moment, I wonder which will be the stories that we’ll tell around the dining table for years to come? What will be the moments they have frozen in their minds forever, the foods they remember me preparing and the smells they remember wafting from the kitchen? I try to capture everything in my heart, because I know some day they’ll be telling me a story of some brief glimpse of their childhood and I might struggle to remember what was so transfixing for them.
Now that we’ve had a few seasons of enjoying James Avery jewelry with our family, I know I’m beginning to see a beautiful tradition and memory evolve.
