For years we’ve all heard the adage that you just have to do what it takes to survive in motherhood. There are going to be tough days, and you will have to understand that you are not perfect. You are simply enough. In the eight years I’ve been a mom I’ve told myself countless times that I cannot have it all, I can only juggle what’s on my plate to the best of my ability. Grace has been a prerequisite to survive. But then 2020 came along. And oh my, the definitions of what it means to struggle in motherhood have been revised and revamped about 1000 times. We thought we had it rough before! But guess what? We’re still here. We’re making it through each day, little by little. And I’ve recently discovered that McDelivery from McDonald’s is a fantastic option for those days when I need a major assist for dinner, and sweet treat, or anything to keep the wild banshees I call my children from going completely feral.

McDelivery

McDonald’s Restaurants in South Central Texas are open now, serving customers, and providing a moment of relief with a hot meal to feed those working to keep us safe and healthy as well. I ordered the girls’ meals for dinner one evening using the Uber Eats app, and I love that McDonald’s is leveraging innovation and technology to enhance the customer experience.

As part of McDonald’s commitment to the highest standards of cleanliness, they have implemented significant hygiene measures and are taking the utmost care in adapting their drive-thru, carry-out and delivery services to help keep crew members and customers safe. In addition, for company-owned restaurants, they have closed their dining rooms, and many
franchisees have chosen to do the same. They have also closed all PlayPlaces and are focused on safely serving their customers through options such as drive-thru, carry-out and McDelivery. Out meals were delivered in less than 30 minutes, piping hot and right to our door with contactless drop off.

Don’t have Uber Eats? No worries! McDonald’s has a bevy of McDelivery partners including Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub,
and Postmates, and they are bringing craveable delicious food to their customers with the speed and convenience that they appreciate. McDelivery allows their customers to celebrate moments of togetherness with family, friends, and co-workers. I know letting myself order meals to go for the girls on the nights when I cannot keep up is a Godsend in an of itself!

McDelivery may be ordered through the McDonald’s Mobile App or directly through the websites of their McDelivery 3rd Party Partners Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub or Postmates. Not available in all areas, but try them out the next time you need to give yourself some grace! You got this, mama!
