adult braces

One of the things that made me comfortable about making the leap to braces was I actually knew several friends who were either currently in braces or had done adult braces recently. One of those friends was Jessica Maldonado, a local mom who I met at a kinder play date the summer before our daughters started elementary school. Although they’ve never actually ended up being in the same class, Cora and Jessica’s daughter get along great, and Jessica and I even more so. Isn’t it funny when you pick your kid’s friends based on the moms you’d like to hang out with? Ha!

That being said, Jessica also started braces with Ferris Orthodontics just a couple months before I did, and we’ve been able to bond over brackets and rubber bands. It’s not always easy navigating normal work and social life in braces, so Jessica and I got together to talk about our shared experiences. One aspect I hadn’t thought of where Jessica’s story differs from mine is she’s actually going through orthodontic treatment at the same time as some of her older children. She’s also hilarious, honest, and candid, so I knew she’d be the perfect person to share her story. Listen in on our conversation below and let me know if it brings up any questions for you!

Remember if you’re interested in a complimentary consultation for adult braces or Invisalign with Ferris Orthodontics, you can tell them Haute in Texas sent you for $250 off your braces or Invisalign full treatment, and that goes for all ages so feel free to redeem for yourself or your kiddos!

I also have to mention that Jessica is a FANTASTIC realtor in the Leon Springs area, but she has clients all over the San Antonio area! If you’re looking to move and want to support a local mom boss, please check out her website for more information!
