Hi everyone!

We love our lady readers but we can’t ignore our boys as well. It’s been a week full of menswear fashion shows in Europe and we’re here to discuss a few of the highlights.

Men’s fashion is notorious for barely changing from season to season– I’d say the changes are more subtle than in Women’s fashion.

This look from Louis Vuitton features the top four trends we noticed this week in menswear.

  1. Thin Lapels- Suits are still retrofitted as they were in the 50’s and 60’s. Lapels are narrow, but ties themselves can go either way. I like the juxtaposition of a narrow lapel and a medium width tie.
  2. Cropped pants length- I can’t imagine this would work in a very formal place of work, but if your job allows a bit of funkitude, I think this look is adorable. Wear it with our next trend to avoid looking like your pants just shrunk in the wash.
  3. Dress shoe/loafer hybrid- These shoes look like a dressy loafer that meets at the ankle without laces. It looks effortless on our LV guy.Sans socks, of course.
  4. Tan leather accessories- Go for bags and briefcases in chestnut and tan leathers for a rugged finish to an otherwise polished look. Black would be the obvious choice, but this season is all about subtle surprises.

There you have it! Reality is, each of these looks are easily achievable without committing too much money. Just roll those pants up, kick off those socks, grab an old vintage bag at a thrift store and you’re hot to trot.

Have an AWESOME holiday weekend!

XO,

K
