Rochas is on of the designers that has really picked up klout over the last few seasons for designing garments that are distinctly non-Milano. To me, their brand feels more New York– more buttoned up cool. Maybe that’s why I love it so much. This season’s show was all about beautiful mixed prints and richly textured knits.  The patterns were both organic and graphic, like fluid stained glass at times, in a gorgeous smattering of colors ranging from plums and aubergines, to cerulean blues, bronzes and blushes. The cuts of the garments were prim and felt slightly retro schoolgirl. The buttoned up sister-wifeness of the dresses at the end had me feeling a little bit too Norwegian Wood-hut on the prarie. Enjoy!
