If there’s one thing motherhood changes, it’s your view of the ideal vehicle. I mean, there’s a lot of things, but this is a comically big one. Gone are the days spent dreaming of a convertible or sexy coupe, replaced by visions of built-in DVD players and copious cup holders. Driving the 2018 Lincoln Navigator, I was instantly transported to a world of luxury living. This car is a chauffeur’s dream, whether your destination is the United Nations or the soccer field.

Lincoln asked Tori of The sTORIbook and myself to just enjoy the vehicle for two days each, but Tori had an idea to ramp things up a bit. Why not use that glorious trunk space to fill it up with goodies and do random acts of kindness throughout town? The best part was Lincoln’s response: an emphatic YES! We headed off to Hemisfair downtown loaded with toys, treats, and yes, even fit a massive bundle of balloons into the Navigator with ease.

We had an absolute blast driving to our favorite spots in San Antonio, and of course the smiling faces made it worth every mile. The rest of the weekend we spent handing out Erin Condren compliment cards (Thank you Erin for sending!) to the Chick-Fil-A drive through, stopping in parking lots, and handing out goodies to those in need. As moms, I think we’re all trying to #NavigateKindness with our kids and teach them to think of others, but it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of day-to-day life. This was a welcome reminder to slow down, see the needs that exist in your community, and do what you can to solve them. Even brightening someone’s day with a compliment puts a drop in that bucket of positivity and wellbeing for your fellow humans.

Saturday evening I knew we had a clear schedule, and realized with a car this cool and comfortable, the drive-in would be a perfect spot to spend quality time with the girls. We headed off with the adaptive cruise control and made it to New Braunfels in record time. I love that you can set how many lengths you want to keep from the car in front of you, and the car not only guides you to stay between your lane markers, but also slows down and speeds up automatically as it senses cars in front of you. The Navigator also has an available head-up display built into the windshield so I could see speed limits, my speed, and more essential information without taking my eyes off the road.

Sunday wrapped up an amazing weekend with a volleyball game and exploring more features on the Navigator. The girls loved the available rear-seat entertainment system and wireless headphones, I loved the SIX USB ports and wireless phone charge in the front console. The Navigator also features a very cool “Auto Hold” feature to automatically place the car in Park when you’re at a stoplight, sitting in the drive thru, etc. It’s absolutely apparent that every detail has been examined in this car, and the result is gorgeous.

THANK YOU Lincoln for a crazy cool experience for my girls and I. We absolutely loved the 2018 Lincoln Navigator, and the girls had a hard time going back to our usual ride. I’m also so thankful to see companies that are still focused on giving back, and I hope our random acts inspired you to #NavigateKindness in your daily life. Until next time!

XO,

A
