Texican Court

This year for Spring Break, we stayed in San Antonio for the better part of the week so the girls could kick (pun intended) off their Martial Arts camp. The second weekend though, I knew I had an event in Dallas and thought it would be a great time to get away. My girls are at the age where they’re just delighted to be at a hotel with a pool, but I didn’t want to stay just anywhere. The Great American Franchise Expo was going to be held at the Irving Convention Center, and upon researching the hotels in the area, Texican Court stood out as the clear winner.

Texican Court

Upon pulling up to their spacious circular drive, from the moment I walked into the lobby I was transported into an elevated and uniquely Texan experience. We Texans like the finer things in life, but we aren’t pretentious. Texican Court perfectly captures that vibe, down to the Smeg refrigerators in each room and sprawling lawns for sitting around a fire pit with friends. During my event the girls hung out by the pool, noshing on room snacks and even enjoying a vintage car show with live music taking place on the grounds that day.

That evening, my bestie Tori came out to visit since she lives just 20 minutes away and we sipped margaritas while chowing down on brisket nachos at the on-site restaurant. It was the best spot to catch up and people watch folks heading to a concert at the Toyota Music Factory. There was even a wedding taking place that evening with an intimate guest list and relaxed celebrations.

The staff at Texican Court was extremely hospitable, and the proximity to things to do in Irving is unmatched. We were also wishing we would’ve brought Frenchie with us because several guests had taken advantage of their dog-friendly policy! For a quick getaway within the borders of Texas, we can’t recommend Texican Court enough. Check them out for a summertime pool day, or as a place to crash after a fun night out. And tell them Haute in Texas sent you!

XO,

A
