So far in our journey with O’Krent Floors, we’ve measured all potential spaces and been blown away by the technology they utilize. Today, it’s time to take a trip to the flooring store itself and begin the best part: selecting our new floors! The critical component to this visit, at least for Orlando and I, was having Jason O’Krent to walk us through everything step by step. Pun intended. 😉
But in all seriousness, without a knowledgeable O’Krent representative present, I think we would’ve been completely overwhelmed by all the options, particular considering O’Krent’s 1604 location can boast that they’re quite literally the largest flooring store in Texas. Add to that our lack of knowledge on flooring and it would be a disaster letting us roam on our own! I mean look at this entrance!
Luckily the O’Krent’s sales staff, including Jason, are not in your face or obnoxious. They’re simply there to educate and help you make the best decision for your family. When we arrived we were greeted with several hardwood samples right off the bat that Jason had pulled for us based on his home visit. Right away we were able to narrow down our options and decide which one we thought would more than likely look best in the house.
Then we moved upstairs to evaluate the carpeting options for our bedrooms. We learned from our first few years with the original carpet in this home that we needed something that could stand up to stains a bit better. Jason directed us to fabrics and models that are specifically designed to clean up easier. So easy, in fact, that he was willing to let us walk around with red wine! 😉
