Full circle moments are my favorite. I’m talking about those days when you take a step back and revel in life’s funny way of showing you perspective. When you realize where you’ve been and how it’s led to where you are now. July 2nd, 2019 was one of those days for me. Orlando and I headed out that morning to visit my good friend Tomas Martinez’ offices to record an episode of his podcast, TM3Impact!
As we pulled up to his studio, I couldn’t help but think back to the early days of Haute in Texas, when I was pitching new clients left and right, hearing far more “No’s” than “Yes’s”. Oftentimes in business, you just need that first person to give you a shot, and then everything builds from there. Back in 2014/2015, I was on the hunt for that shot. I met with Tomas and his wife Christina, who told me they had a Luxury Real Estate Summit coming up where they needed some PR. I was EXTREMELY pregnant with Issa by this point, so it wasn’t a shock that they were understandably concerned if I could even handle a new client with a baby literally due any time. But they took a chance. They gave me a shot. And I’ll forever be grateful.
So imagine my surprise to fast forward 5 years later and Tomas was kind enough to ask Orlando and I to be guests on his podcast, where he interviews everyone from entrepreneurs, to real estate moguls, to influencers in the San Antonio business community. What followed was 40 minutes of pure fun, talking about everything from Haute in Texas, to real estate investing, to how Orlando and I met. That story along has some crazy twists and turns, so I hope you’ll do us the honor of taking a listen when you have a chance.
