It happens at the end of every day. My head is throbbing, the girls are fighting, and all is about to descend into mayhem before I yell that magical word: BATHTIME! Into the tub they go, the tears are instantly wiped away, and mama gets a breather as bedtime rituals begin. I can’t lie, it is probably my favorite part of the day. When my daughters are content to play with each other for an endless stream of time, yet they are contained in a single space where clean up is just a rinse away. It’s heavenly for me, and it’s heavenly for them.

As if this small respite from the craziness isn’t enough, I then get to scoop up these squeaky clean babies in warm towels and watch as their faces dissolve into giggles. We change into cozy pajamas and wriggle under covers to settle in for a bedtime story. We just finished Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the other day, so tonight it’s the kid-friendly version of Pride and Prejudice. I turn my head and smell the tops of theirs, sweet and precious. I know it sounds ridiculous, but my children could have tried to burn the house down that day, and all it would take is smelling that freshly clean baby smell to realize I simply adore them.

Granted, I also adore tucking them into bed and walking away, but that’s part of parenting, right? The balance of “I’m here for you” and “I need you to give me some space”. It’s never-ending. But luckily with HEB and Dove Baby, the scales have tipped in favor of bathtime bliss just a smidge more. I’ve always been a huge fan of Dove’s body wash for myself, and the girls love to use it for their bubble bath marathons, must to my chagrin. Now I don’t have to share, because the adorable Dove Baby line has arrived to your favorite Texas grocer and I couldn’t be happier!
