My pregnancy fashion plan thus far is as such:  spend as little money as possible on clothes I won’t be able to wear sans baby bump.  Not that my bump is huge at this point, but I’m anticipating the jeans getting a bit tighter, and Lord knows my cups are overflowing, if you know what I mean.  For the Texas heat, I’m thinking sundresses are my best bet, especially since they will work even beyond this pregnancy.  And as I was recently discussing with a reader, sundresses still work in a Texas winter, just paired with some leggings, jeggings, or whatever they’ll be called this season.

This dress wasn’t my top choice from Gap, but after reading the reviews on my initial option, I kept browsing and found this little nuggest, which I now happen to love even more!  The fabric is unique, uber-breathable, and unbelievably stretchy.  Can I think of any other “U” words to describe it?  Nope.  I could pair this with a cardigan, fedora, and gladiator sandals and voila! Preggo-perfect!  Oh, and it’s on sale for $42.46.  Voila again!

The beautiful things about dresses is a two-folded answer: 1) they ARE the outfit, just throw one on and go.  No thinking involved.  And 2) they don’t have to be “maternity” to fit a pregnant lady, a.k.a. moi.  This Banana Republic number fulfills both of these requirements, and I love that it’s just a bit dressy.  The tiers will be perfect for those lovely lady lumps that I’m not too keen on displaying for the world, and the color will hopefully be just darling against my supposedly “glowing” skin.  Right.  Seriously though, it’s on sale from $110.00 to just $84.99.  That, my friends, is a good reason to glow.

XO,
