René Graham is a woman after my efficiency-loving heart. An architect by profession, she was rushing from class to work on the Houston Metro several years ago, when her makeup bag (because who among us hasn’t done up our face on the go) spilled its messy contents all over the public transit floor. An idea was born, but it wasn’t until 2017 that Graham put the concept to work. Thus, Renzoe Box was born, and it’s the modern makeup bag you never knew you needed. We sat down with the Renzoe Box founder to chat about all things makeup, including watching her complete her makeup with her very own box!
Now an Austin native, Graham told us she’s loving building a company in Texas, and shared what she says has been the most surprising thing about building a beauty brand. And while the trajectory of Renzoe Box has always been stellar, she recently had 3 incredible wins: being named a SXSW Pitch Finalist, Mass Challenge Finalist, AND selected for the prestigious Tory Burch Fellowship!
