Under the Influence: Adele's Rumor Has It

Okay, so we wanted to try something new this week since fashion month has come to a close and our Friday postings are now much more flexible. A and I both draw lots of fashion inspiration from music. Sometimes you hear a certain song that makes you want to dress a certain way, like how Taylor Swift makes me wanna stock up on gauzy cotton and Lady Gaga makes me want to bedazzle thongs and wear them as headbands. We thought a few times a month we’d pick a song and put together an outfit influenced by the emotion of the song and the style of the artist. Fun, right?

A and I both are in love with Adele. She’s such a role model, a class act and a stunning beauty. So, thus, this Friday is dedicated to Adele and my favorite song off her new album, 21, “Rumor Has It”. Her style is feminine, a bit rock and roll and a tad vintage bohemian. She’s always dressed easy going with loads of black. Finish off the look with winged eyeliner, a touch of blush and a low ponytail or bun that’s teased at the crown.
