I’ve had the most unusual, haunting ballad stuck in my head for a week and it has quickly become my new favorite song. Lana Del Rey, the artist formerly known as Lizzy Grant, popped up onto the scene only several months ago and is taking both the music world (and the fashion world) by storm. She just signed a contract with Next Models in NYC, and her first full album comes out at the end of the month. She describes her style as “gangster Nancy Sinatra”. Take a listen to her song Video Games, and you’ll see what she means. As for our clothing selections, I wanted to go for vintage styles that are being re-done in a modern way (think peg pants, denim jackets) to compliment the retro sound of the music.
