COVID-19

Many of us are struggling right now with how to get back to normal during the COVID-19 pandemic. When is it ok? When will I feel “safe” out in public again? It’s becoming clear that there will never be a giant sign for all to see IT’S ALL OVER. It’s going to be subtle changes, eventually leading to some sort of new reality for all of us. But life does have to go on, and there are important appointments that need to be rescheduled and restarted even in the midst of a pandemic.

Last week one of those appointments for me was my orthodontist check up. I had been following along with Ferris Orthondontics‘ policy and procedure changes since the COVID-19 pandemic began, so I felt confident they were doing everything they could to keep us safe. I asked if they would be alright with me filming my appointment, and in the interest of sharing how safe their appointments are, they agreed! See how it went below:

One things I can’t stress enough is how much local businesses deserve our gratitude and appreciation in doing what they can to keep us safe. If you’ve been working from home, safe and sound, take a minute to put yourselves in their shoes: scrambling to find PPE for employees, communicating new policies to customers, applying for aid and grants, purchasing gobs of hand sanitizer and touchless thermometers to try and keep their business afloat. It’s a scary world out there right now, and even more so for the small business owner who is trying to figure it out for their livelihood as well as their own families.

Have you been out and about supporting small businesses yet? Let me know how you’re handling everything in the comments!

XO,

A
