The interns abound at Haute in Texas! Today we’ve got a special treat for you from Zahra, our social media guru and lover of all things Disney. She’s bringing you three items to add to your closet this fall or winter, depending on where you live in the country. Because let’s face it, Texas never quite gets to “winter”. The temperatures are just right though for a bit of layering and a lot of style, so cuddle up and enjoy!

If you are anything like me, you wait all year for the very few months it gets cool in Texas. My favorite time of year is when I get to dress comfy yet still look fashionable. Putting a few pieces together can always take a boring outfit up a notch. Although you need to know the basics, so here are 3 must have fall accessories for these colder months.

  1. An Infinity Scarf

From a chunky knit to a patterned silk, this is a must-have accessory that can be paired with almost anything such as a sweater or a coat. It is a great resource to wrap around yourself to keep you extra warm in the wintertime. It’s also a great way to add a pop of color to your outfit if you’re wearing neutral fall colors such as maroon and beige. I love how Vanessa Rodriguez of Stylishly Me paired hers with a moto jacket to add a little edge.

2. Boots

This is one trend I’m always itching to bust out of my closet when the temperatures cool. Designers are offering up tons of options these days for fashionistas, from suede to leather, heeled to flat. Boots are the perfect accessory for a fall look. If you’re going to a nice dinner you can pair leather leggings with a knee-high boot or a slip dress with suede booties. If you’re just going to Starbucks to get an instagram-worthy cup of coffee a pair of flat lace-up boots might be just the ticket. Or take a cue from The Viva Luxury and pair yours with an oversized boyfriend sweater for a sexy look.

3. An Enormous Tote

With the larger proportions of sweaters and scarves, sometimes a giant purse is the perfect compliment to complete a look. Not only is it on trend, it’s a fabulous way to store your scarf or your knit hat. Rich tones like maroon, cream, or beige are delicious shades to go with the falling temperatures. You could even add a boho touch like this Balenciaga tote from Stella Wants to Die.

Zahra
